Another hand carved piece of jade called old jade.According to Wikipedia the term "Ancient Old Jade" is a type of jade described and defined by the Chinese as a semi-translucent precious stone that is harder than other stones, with a shiny surface, feeling both smooth and heavy, and having a distinct sound when knocked on. So this stone is a replica of famous Qing Dynasty carvings (1644-1911) and represents a phoenix and a butterfly...

Fairy Tale - Part II

One of my favorite stones is this hair quartz rutile, in my language it is called "samovilska kosa" which means fairy hair. So the necklace story is about a fairy whose hair was trapped in a morning dew and falling out from the leafs as the fairy was washing her face and combing her hair....Originally a planed to put some verdigris on the leafs but i am afraid that it would make it difficult to match with other accessory to the potential customer....or not?

New creations ....Fairy Tale - Part I

 

 

As soon as this stone arrived I was anxious to wrap it. This was the result of one night shift :), hope You like it. The stone is Green Jade, hand-carved from one single stone piece and I could not capture the intense color and the translucency ... The rich green color and the carving reminded me of a ancient lost city in the jungle so the wrapping represents the discovery among the vines...This necklace is the first in the Fairy Tale Necklace collection...

One of my favorite stones is this Madagascar Ammonite, trying to decide whether to wrap it or keep in my stone collection...

Number two in my list is this shark tooth fossil from Morocco...This one is going to be part of my Men Collection... 

This was my number one for a long time, i have designed the piece of jewelry for it, i even have a name and a story but still it is hard to let go....This Quartz rutile (fairy hair) is going to be wrapped very soon....

This Autumn collection I dedicated to the wood, so wooden elements are implemented in almost every piece of jewelry, the other pieces have the colors of the forest in autumn....Hope You like it!!!

Beautiful Argentina Rhodochrosite just arrived and i was very anxious to wrap it!!! I've decided to follow the shape of the stone and I'm very satisfied with the result......Now, there are plenty of stones to be wrapped so see You soon....

My Madam Butterfly

I made this pendant while on a visit to my native town and got inspired sitting in my parents garden.The colors of the stone were so vivid as the butterflies in the garden. Hope that someone will appreciate the effort and the creation!!!

Change of Seasons - Summer 2011 is new new collection I'm working on for this season. Mother of Pearls is the main component in this collection, as well as turquoise, shells, crystals and copper.These days I'll try do do some experiments with copper clay and some new stones that have arrived....it's going to be fun!!!!

Experiments with patina

I couldn't believe that i was mixing up chemicals for patina solutions, i hated chemistry at school so much!!!But now it seems so fun, except when some mixture started to produce fumes, i got really scared!

So, this is the first time i achieve verdigris patina, and i think this antique green suits brass more than copper, however i am going to try it on copper anyway.I haven't decided what kind of protection to apply to preserve it, some polish or else.Hope You like it! Thanks for stopping by :)
